Tyler, the founder and CEO of TheZealot, provided an update on the company's progress in onboarding beta testers and refining its AI interview process.
Since the last interview, Tyler has been working to onboard more beta testers from the target demographics of athletes, artists, and entrepreneurs. He sent out invites to 5-10 entrepreneurs, but only 3 onboarded and none completed a full interview user journey. Tyler hypothesized that this friction was due to a lack of understanding of the product's value proposition.
To address this, Tyler launched a public website, thezealot.ai, to showcase client profiles and articles. The website has four pages: a homepage introducing TheZealot, a page with published articles, client profiles, and a team page. Currently, the website features two clients: Tyler himself and his wife, Betty Trephan, an actress. There are about 10 articles covering Tyler's journey as CEO and Betty's acting career. Tyler hopes the website will clarify the value proposition of TheZealot and set expectations for potential clients.
Feedback on the website has been positive, but Tyler hasn't seen an improvement in client engagement yet. He plans to share articles and client profiles on social media to increase traffic to the site. Tyler is also considering being more intentional with invites, highlighting the opportunity for testers to become official clients with a profile and articles on the website. He prefers in-person invites but also sends personalized texts or emails.
Tyler has made no new improvements to the voice transcription process. However, integrating previous interview history into the AI interview agent's context has significantly improved the quality of interviews. The agent no longer repeats questions and can pick up from where the last interview finished.
Looking ahead, Tyler's key priorities are:
Tyler is focused on these three areas to drive TheZealot forward.
